A solid foundation
Durability is created during the design process. How well a building holds up against the elements, bushfire attack and other natural disasters can be directly linked back to the design.
During the design process, consideration of external building materials, adequate termite protection, roof design and calculated eave overhangs, are all major factors to consider.
Solid foundations, that elevate the building to a floor height that will never be susceptible to flooding or rising damp, and site levels and grades that divert stormwater away from the building are other key factors.
